david.bergen
I can buy the following brake for $180 JP Large-Profile Tactical Compensators In addition to our standard JP Tactical Compensators, we also offer a larger 1.2”outside diameter tactical brake that provides the same level of efficiency as the original JP Recoil Eliminator for those who prefer the more conventional appearance of this style of compensator. Is it as good as they tell on the website? There isn't much available over here and one has to take what there is. What do you guys think? Is it a good one? Is it better than the Miculek brake? Thanks, David
outerlimits
i've had one on an open AR and i like it better than most brakes. it's huge, but alot smaller than the old JP tank brake. surefire is better, but looks really strange on a nice contoured JP barrel. Thanks, David David, In your post you answered your question, "the Large Profile comp provides the same level of efficiency as the original JP Recoil Eliminator" (IE, Tank Break). So it will blow the doors off (so to speak) anything else out there, becasue it is so big. The "Tank Break" has been the pretty much the "standard" to compare to for quite a while, although it is classified as Open class equipment here in the US. so yes, it should be much better than the Miculek... I did talk to JP and Brock about it at DPMS, and they both said it does what the website claims. it is however over the maximum size for our tactical class here... jj
