bbbean
I notice no distances are indicated on the stage diagrams, but most of the shots look pretty close. Should I eschew my 50 yard practice in favor of extra 5-15 yard practice, or are these stages longer than they look?
BritinUSA
You can never tell from the stage descriptions. I have been to matches in Europe where they indicate the distance of the nearest/farthest target but not so much in USA. You should know where you gun is sighted in at all distances and be prepared for anything, though I imagine most targets will be in the 0-20 meter range. Pat Miles
Work on your 5, 15 and 50 yard distances. You will be happy you did. Nats are notorious for some surprising distance shots. CYa, Pat
davecutts
In my experience 90% or more shots will be less than 20 yards, with most of those being in the 5-12 yard range. I wouldn't change what you're practicing based on those stage descriptions, it rarely looks what you thought it would.
