G-ManBart
Having just moved into the new place (which we really like) I'm annoyed/baffled by one thing so far. This is the second time I've had a house with three floors where the builders installed a climate control system with only two zones. We like our bedroom to be on the cold side at night, but if we do that the finished basement is freezing until the early afternoon. Really, how much more expensive is it to put a unit with three zones in it? I've seen it done and it makes all the sense in the world, but most builders seem to want to scrimp and save every little penny rather than do it the right way. Greg Bell
I hear ya! My house in Michigan has 3 finished floors with one zone and one thermostat.
Will Abrahams
Ive never thought about doing that...so would that mean three seperate air conditioning units and 3 furnaces?
outerlimits
i have a 2 story with 2 zones-it is the only way to go. no waste. it's 98 right now and keeping the floor yer on cool is cool.
G-ManBart
Ive never thought about doing that...so would that mean three seperate air conditioning units and 3 furnaces? Nope, it's basically just a vent control issue so only one A/C and one heat unit connected to three zones. R,
Miranda
you put it in the hate area. so I can't discuss it.... I only have 1 control/thermostat it is not a happy medium, I dislike it too. All other options I know are some what more expensive. miranda
