Barrel Twist for 9mm Major

Hello Gang,

Did a search on this forum for some information and wanted to get a definitive answer or advice on barrel twist for 9mm Major with a bull barrel. Planning on shooting 124gr mostly. With that being said; I'm not going to ask what is best but rather, which is the most commonly used? 1/16 or 1/32?

I doubt anybody really knows what the most commonly used is as it would vary with brand and model. For example, all Schuemann AET barrels in 9 and 38S/SC are 1:24" gain twist but they offer conventional barrels for either in both 1:16" and 1:32" twist as well.

I'm sure manufacturers would be able to tell you which they sell more of, but I'm not so sure they'd want it published. Some good reading here:

I expect, with no supporting documentation, that the faster twist is much more common.
