Lange22250
I would really like to put an extended 1911 style thumb safety on my 22/45 but have not seen one done in person. I have seen one done by a smith in a magazine a long time ago, but for the life of me I can't find anything anywhere. I have an idea but have not gone through with a proof of concept prototype. Has anyone seen an example or done it them self? Thanks. Edited July 31, 2009 by Lange22250

mwx40x40
+1 as I too would like to see this part being made. As noted above several of us have nudged drissle to do one, but not sure where he stands with it. A placed called BrokenGunRanch used to make a safety like that, but I do not believe it is currently in production. It would be the perfect accessory for a gun marketed to mimic the 1911.
