pjb45
I have and XD with upgrades by Scott Springer. I have not really shot the gun much so I am at a loss. How does the accuracy of the factory barrel compare to the Bar-Sto replacement barrel? Is it worthwhile to replace the barrel before Production Nationals or do you think the accuracy of the factory barrel will suffice?' Thanks in advance. warpspeed
I had Barsto replace the factory barrel in a XD40 once. groups shrunk in half. I don't think it had as much to do with the barrel itself as much as the fit.

RIIID
The factory barrels are quite good, do some testing with powders and bullets you might be surprised. If it needs some help have it refit. Rich
Mistral404
i am using vv320, probably Federal Small Magnum or WSP Primers, MG or Zero bullets. I have a couple thousand rounds of AA 9mm for practice.
Justsomeguy
What is "acceptable accuracy" for you? Does the gun "run" well with the factory barrel? A new barrel will probably have a tighter chamber... witness bobert's remark about his power factor going up by 10. That is usually the result of a tighter chamber. If you have a bunch of ammo already loaded up that ran fine in the factory pipe, you might find that some of them won't chamber in a new barrel unless you specify some figure for the chamber to the gunsmith who installs it. But then, loosening up the chamber will possibly affect the accuracy you bought the new barrel for in the first place. Quandaries, Quandaries...!
