Dan Bone
I picked up a used Remington 1100 at the local pawn shop. Looks a little rough, it was cheap but shows great potential. I shot it today and it did fine but the bolt won't stay locked back. You can lock it to the rear but the slightest jostle and it slams forward. Any ideas? ErikW
This is before the introduction of an EasyLoader? Here, let me use the bat-signal for Patrick Sweeney....
Dan Bone
No.... it has an easy loader on it.
ErikW
There you go. It's not fitted right. You probably don't have any play in the ramp itself; the slightest touch releases the bolt?
Flexmoney
My EZ loader is way too sensative. I need to do some fitting on it (might need to knock the rust off the 1100 while I 'm at it). I just need to remove a bit of metal on the EZ loader, right?
ErikW
Yeah; it's in the instructions... but I didn't have the correct size and shape file to reach deep enough in the notch and I never got it perfect. So I've got a hair-trigger ramp release on a gun that rarely locks open when empty.
Flexmoney
I'll have to fix it if I ever get heavy into the 3-gun.
ringram
This is an easy fix. You need to file the finger on the ezi loader that stands at 90deg to the loading floor, it touches against the release latch. It should only release it during the last 1/4inch of travel. Its best to remove the ezi loader from the trigger group in order to file it a bit at a time and test fit until its right. Rich
