SLM
I need some help/advice on fitting a new Matt McLearn M2i long firing pin in a SVI IBF slide. It sticks hard (like I had to tap it out) when I dry fire the gun. I took a marker and colored it and it looks to be sticking in the breechface screw where the pin has the step on it. The SVI pin is tapered and doesn't stick but I got this to have a spare for the Indiana match this weekend and it ain't gonna work the way it is. What should I do? I'm thinking it needs turned down so it fits in the screw but I don't have access to a lathe any more.
UW Mitch
If you need to turn it just a little bit, maybe an electric drill and some fine sandpaper would do the trick. It's probably less than 0.001" - I'd go with 400 grit, then when it's really close, 600, 800, 1000. ~Mitch
G-ManBart
Don't hesitate to call Matt McLearn about it either....he's pretty good about answering his phone. R,

Chris Keen
If you've got sandpaper and a dremel, who needs a gunsmith? (Tell 'em Drew)
