Which Matches Are Best?

I am going to concentrate on shooting USPSA Limited division in the coming year. I want to attend a few major USPSA matches, but don't know which ones are the best. Since vacation time and money are limited I need to narrow down the options.

I live in Houston, Texas so the only big USPSA match I've shot to date is the 2004 Space City Challenge which I thought was fun. I'm am willing to fly to a match if it is worth the extra cost.

What are your favorite major USPSA matches and why?

area 4 and mississippi state match. usually a good mix of shooters and very good stage design. plus close to home.

the best match by far is Area 2. there were over 400 shooters there last year. all the top dogs, with a great prize table.

I'll second the vote for Area 2. I have heard MANY people state that it is one of the premier matches in the US.

Area 4 has a great prize table, good stages, and is close to entertainment (casinos and good eats) and I always enjoy the nationals. Texas State Limited is always challenging but you have to provide your own fun (pizza and beer - no problem!).
