Velocity for 69 and/or 77 SMK and Ramshot TAC?

I see plenty of threads listing loads, but nobody ever says what velocities they get.

If you load TAC under either a 69 or 77 SMK, please let me know what kind of velocity you are getting, and please share the length and make of your barrel.

Thanks!

I appreciate that, but am aware.

I am looking for specific experiences with TAC until such time as I can get to the range and find out LOL

At the end of the process, I need an accurate load out to 500 yards.... I "think" the better bc of the 77 and the faster velocity of the 69 will be a wash on windage, but need some estimates to play with the numbers.

Thanks and keep um coming.

I'm using 23.5 of TAC w/ a 77 SMK in a 16" JP barrel. I'm still in the development stage, but I'm getting an average of 2580 fps. Loaded to 2.260"

Once fired brass & whatever primers I happened to have on hand.

Sierra book max charge is 24 grains.

Win once fired brass

Win small rifle primers

23.6 gn TAC

77 gn SMK

OAL 2.25

16" JP barrel - 2,480 fps

18" JP barrel - 2,550 fps

20" JP barrel - 2,620 fps

20" Walther barrel - 2,680 fps

It's not the hottest load but it's pretty accurate.

To answer my question .....

69 smk 25.4 Gr TAC 2880 fps

77 smk 24 gr TAC 2660 fps

both out of an 18 inch JP barrel....LC '05 brass once fired, and wolf small rifle magnum primers.

Cheers!
