I am one who likes them. Had them on my guns since about 1979 and the only item you need to change is the pin. Replace it with piano wire and you are good to go. mcoliver Posted October 3, 2003 Share Posted October 3, 2003 Bar, you'd probably find one forum member by the name of Eric who hates Bomars. Personally, I love them. Had a recently built 1911 with Bomars where the notch was widened (probably too much at .160" something). Found out I liked and shot better with the stock notch (with a .100" FO front). Glad the smith replaced the blade for free. YMMV, but I suggest you try the stock first. You can always widen and deepen them later.. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
