Dowter
Do any companys out there make a thumb guard for the slide for the strong thumb that is limited class legal. I'm so use to my STI safety with the thumb guard that it's hard for me not to be touching the slide. Thanks for the help.
Flexmoney
Somebody came out with a device that looks like a 1911 ambi, used as a thumb rest. Of course, you could just practice. (just kidding....I know you will shoot the gun plenty)

Dowter
Somebody came out with a device that looks like a 1911 ambi, used as a thumb rest. Are they legal for limited. One can't really rationalize the thumb rest as a safety for a glock. (I did see a thumb rest for the slide release that I think was ruled illegal.) Flexmoney
Legal? I hadn't thought of it. Now that you mention it..probably not.
Dowter
God dammit, did I misspell "guard" again in another topic title. I gotta get that word tatooed somewhere on myself for quick reference.
Custom Glock Racing
That tumb rest thing probably is not legal, really more of a *thumb rest [generic]*. Besides if you tried you probably would not want to use it. I have one here and its crap.
SherlockWV
Re: Thumb Rest - A company called Smart Lock out of Canada makes a plastic Ambi for Glocks. They claim it reduces muzzle flip by 70 % but I found out different. I put them on my Glocks because I have a very large web between my right thumb and forefinger, plus an arthritic large thumb knuckle. Because of this, the slides were cutting me. Especially starting from the "surrender" position. Now, having modified this plastic thingie by grinding off the so thumb rests then beveling the left side for better access to the Mag & Slide release, I do not have any problems. Just enough thickness in the plastic to provide relief. Legal in USPSA and with IDPA you have to shoot "Enhanced".
