mgood
. . . the COST of having one "Cut Down"...guess I'm just a CHEAP S.O.B. at heart... About how much would it cost? I'm thinking that 4.5" to 5" would be ideal. But that being so close to the available 3.875" makes me wonder if the difference would be worth the cost, or the hassle. sargenv
I like the unfluted cylinder of my -2 model 610 classic. It sure is easier to clean than those darn scalloped cylinders.. though I hardly actually clean mine.. The cylinder was so dark it fooled a few people when I said, "Like the Ti Cylinder?". Is this a nice bullet design for the 610 - 40 cal? The Meplat (the flat part) is about an eighth of an inch. I had the mold made up custom.. they sure drop into the chamfered cylinder of my 610 in a very slick way. I just worked out the allooy and lubrication method. I was firing these at about 25 yards today and managed to get them into about 3" or so. I was quite happy with them. They drop from the mold at .401" which means I need not put them through a lubrisizer. Weight is about 186 gr give or take. I load them as cast.
