Toolguy Posted March 26, 2009 Share Posted March 26, 2009 According to Roy Jinks, S&W Historian, models 581, 586, 681 and 686 all came out in 1980. Also in 1980 was the 547 9mm with the spring steel extractor, discontinued in 1985. Any without a model # were made before 1957. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
