It's always that 1%. You gotta be 100%.

Shoot Limited with that frame. Or sell it to a friend, it's actually a great excuse to buy a new gun.

Put it up in the Classifieds here...

SELL IT???

CAN YOU EVEN GET A NEW 34 NOW? HAVENT SEEN ONE IN A WHILE!!!

You might as well wait on the new receiver until I get a reply from John Amidon about replacement receivers. See this thread, post #5 on:

If you can't replace a receiver(with the same type) it is getting a bit ridicules to say the least. I understand playing by the rules but get a life things happen parts break and have to be replaced with out having to buy a new gun each time.

It's been proposed that I misinterpreted JA's interpretation  .

I have a request for a clarification in to the man - will post his reply ASAP.

I could make it look like factory plastic; ie remove the stippling. I could even add plastic to return it to the size and mass of the factory profile. But to make that factory "grenade" type checkering reappear, that would be tough. Labor involved in doing that would probably pay for a new frame from Glock...

On the replacement receivers, it looks like you're good to go. Technically, it should be a receiver "of the same caliber", but for a Glock, well, there ain't no tellin 'cept the serial # and/or what you remember of where the replacment came from.

Kevin,

Replacing a slide or barrel is already covered as long as it is the same caliber, dimension and contour as the OEM,

Replacing the receiver would be no different as long as it matches the OEM receiver in dimension, caliber, material and contour.

Hello again, John.

I'm really sorry to have to bug you again, but I have some friends who want to really pin this down.

I think I understand that the board and NROI do not want Production Division shooters to change their base model gun into another model gun of a different caliber (G34 into a G35, for example), nor a different model of the same chambering (G17 into G34). But does the current interpretation of the Production Division rules also prevent repairing or refurbishing a pistol by using a replacement receiver with the original slide and barrel, or using a same model replacement factory slide and barrel for a damaged set on the original receiver (broken G17 into functional factory configuration G17 in either case, but now with mismatched serial numbers)?

Thank you in advance,

Kevin
