Sarge
I have one of these laying around that my dad brought home from wwII. Who knows who I should talk to about it's worth? I know there are whole legions of people who collect them but I don't know who I could trust. Any info appreciated.
Flatland Shooter
I have one of these laying around that my dad brought home from wwII. Who knows who I should talk to about it's worth?I know there are whole legions of people who collect them but I don't know who I could trust. Any info appreciated. I have a pre-War (1938 production) Radom (Viz) that appears new. I tried to get an estimated value a while back for insurance purposes. Values ran from $450 to $3000 from "knowledgeable" collectors. Markings, condition and variant (early models have a great finish and include a takedown lever versus late war models missing some levers and a rough parkerized finish) will greatly affect prices. War models (with the Nazi markings) tend to command a higher premium than pre-war models. If you have an early model you will notice it has a cut in the mainspring housing for a shoulder stock. That cut was included in guns manufactured up until around 1943 yet no one ever manufactured a shoulder stock to fit the gun. Good luck. Duane Thomas
Your best bet is probably to check out the latest Blue Book of Gun Values. Beyond that, even after doing a fairly extensive 'net search, I couldn't find any other info. Sorry. https://store.bluebookinc.com/Ecom/ProductD...ry=1&id=244 BTW, if you don't want to pony up the cash for the book, it's worth noting your local library can do an Inter-Library Loan request and have it to you in short order at absolutely no charge. LIBRARIES! Ya gotta love 'em.
