Compstock, legal for Heavy Metal?

I'm close to buying a pump gun. Need one for HM division. Looked at the compstock (now owned by Blackhawk), wondering if it's legal for Heavy Metal.

I know that most 3G events are 'home range rules' but is there any concensus? I read the USPSA rules and it mentions: no compensation, devices to control or reduce recoil. I could argue both sides on this one. The stock does nothing to reduce actual recoil, it does affect "felt" recoil.

I didn't know these came on any factory guns. I believe Hogue came out with it, Knoxx bought it, then Blackhawk bought Knoxx. It's roots are definitely Hogue 'overmold' stocks.

Yeah, Remington offers one for instance -

Wilson Combat also has models with them.
