The_Vigilante
What is the advantage of trimming mag followers? How is it done? Is one brand of mag followers better than the oem brand? Thanks from a newbie
Joe4d
Not sure exactly what you mean but I'll take a shot. Talking STI's here. SOme people shoot USPSA and IDPA. In IDPA you need the slide lock to work so the slide lock is left intact. With Grams and Bolens followers if you leave them intact they will lock back with one or two rounds still left in the mag. So people trim the follower so it wont slide lock. And use factory followers in Box legal mags for IDPA. People that only shoot USPSA tend to deactivate the slide stop and leave the followers as is. technetium-99m
Followers can also be trimmed for capacity reasons, I believe glock shooters trim to get 20 rounds in a 22 mag. GT
