pivoproseem
I've got an old Gold Team and a newer Match I bought used, both seem prone to "rusting" in places on the grip. I Moly Resin-ed the gold team, but not sure I want to do that to the match yet. I thought these were hard chromed??...why do they corrode? What's the best method to remove it? I don't want to make the matt finish shiny, though, which might exclude something aggressive. I could just cover it with grip tape...

Mo Hepworth
try applying break-free,..and use lots. Allow it to set in,...leave it on it for a while, and then wipe off the residue. Apply again and let set in. I find this helps and also helps keep any rusty spots from coming back. Oh I forgot to mention I use a golf club brush...the metal kind sometimes. Just be mindfull of where you rub. Edited December 14, 2008 by Mo Hepworth
