henning x-long firing pin

I'm installing the henning x-long firing pin in an eaa witness match in 40, and I am wondering if the firing pin safety must be removed in order to install it. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it must be removed and it will remain out as long as you run that pin..

Im Running one of hennings extra long FP's for a small frame and ive left the firing pin safety in. I just shaved a very small amount off the large rings and fiddled for a few mins and got it in. I spose i shouldnt have mucked around so much i didnt really need it anyway.
