  1. i cant agree more, my guns love to chew up under sized brass. especially good quality brass and even glock 9mm brass.(keep in mind i clean my guns when they are dirty, which is once every 2 months) the trick is to know the history of your brass after 6 times at the range i toss my brass. Ive got a "bad brass package" which is stuff ive collected, and has been used 20+ times and it still shoots fine. Just resize it oh and visually inspect it, tanfogs dont have any problems, its always down to ammo
  2. I love the small frames, the size of the size of the gun is great. Ive got an apparently 'rare' HC limted in 9mm long dusk cover. nice gun'!!
  3. Ive broken one, i got some pics at home.
  4. Good luck for tomorrow! ill be over there in NZ in the next few days.
  5. Yes, it must be removed and it will remain out as long as you run that pin.. Mike Thanks for the help Mike. Im Running one of hennings extra long FP's for a small frame and ive left the firing pin safety in. I just shaved a very small amount off the large rings and fiddled for a few mins and got it in. I spose i shouldnt have mucked around so much i didnt really need it anyway.
  6. its normally just from a worn slide lock pin, if you sand or grind a small about of metal from the catch on the slide lock it wont lock back as well (making it slip over the catch area by bumping the gun). the only downfall is. if you take too much off the catch, the slide wont lock back at all. My Limited custom locks the slide when a slam a mag in.
  7. there arent really specs for it because of how the screw sits.. its all feel. Leo Hi Leo Thanks for the reply. Apologies, didn't word this very well. It was more what are the screw specs that is are they M3, M4 and 5 mm/8 mm long etc or what! I have read the various threads here and as you say it does seem to be all feel but wanted to be prepared if I have a problem when I am adjusting this and damage the screws. Mine seem to be very tight so will most probably need to heat to extract. mine always feels tight aswell, but thats because i put loctite on the thread. i got one of hennings longer over travel screws so it sits a bit further out.
  8. happy birthday! damn i missed out on the birthday specials I like the tile work in the bathroom, i did the same to my bathroom at the start of the year, i did some nice sandstone tilling out the front entertainment area ill do anything but painting!! my brothers girlfriend and my girlfriend love painting so its great.
  9. They Shirts are great, good quality Cheers Hennings.
  10. Ive got the exactly same thing, the crack is the same. ive got no idea whats going on. im going to try send my mag back to tanfoglio in Australia or at least talk to them. Although my mags are old, like 10,000 rounds old.
  11. Howdy, the conversion is pretty easy to do just open up the breach face and get your barrel reamed. for large frame guns the OAL shouldnt be a hassle, but for small frame versions u have to shorten the OAL quite a bit. it wont shoot factory .357 SIG brass. If u have a 9mm, dont forget to get a 40cal extractor, mag followers and beef up your mainspring!
  12. I own a Tanfoglio Limited Hc in small frame. I found that the original grips that came with the gun didnt really suit me well, (wooden ones) i hacked at a set of springfield p9 grips that have a wider grip and now the gun fits my hand like a glove. I have medium to largish hands.
  13. Hahaha nice shirt, i just got one. i hope the large fits me!!
  14. Ive ordered a few little parts from hennings (and now a few more), and its been great. Im in Queensland, Australia and i get my parts pretty fast. Cheers to Hennings!
  15. Howdy, im just wanting to buy some stuff, new trigger and some other things, but just a quick question. Does the trigger come with the pre travel screw already in it? or is that seperate? i couldnt manage to see it on your site. Thanks Ant.
  16. Those Colours all look like windows Xp logo colours!!! they all look great, hard to choose between.
  17. the first thing id be looking at is your extractor and making sure its nice and clean and the main spring might be taking a battering if you are using something too light, but if you have already done that id check if the gun isnt firing out of battery it might be a worn out sear
  18. Ive noticed this on my hc custom when i was fiddling with my trigger and adjusted the overtravel screw too far out. Light strikes were more evident on small rifle primers. The combo of using a heavier hammer spring and keeping just a little over travel on the trigger sorted out the problem for me.
  19. Im going to have to get another firing pin from ya. ive seemed to have damaged my new one. I left it on the work bench after doing weights i dropped a dumbell ontop of the small end and bent it. which it was only a slight bend, but ive attempted to straight it and kind of wrecked it hahaha now im just using it an a high quality pin punch. im clumsy sometimes. ill get a new firing pin and some other stuff
  20. I was too impatient to wait for the new firing pin to come out so i got the large one hehe. hey sinnsky what is the difference in size between the large PF and the small frame FP?
  21. same here! or i use whatever synthetic oil is left over after i change the oil in the car.
  22. ive chopped up some rubber grips from a springfield p9 pretty crude but they do the job, the grips were heaps thick around the mag release so i had to chop some more away. and another pic before the chop
  23. I would have never thought it would have broken in that area, its pretty thick steel. Im using a springfield p9 cz clone for ipsc for the interim. (i just have to get used to the double action trigger)
  24. Jeeeez leo, u know how much of a bastard it is to get that spring back in here are the pics mate, i also tested polishing the trigger bow before i attempt it on the new trigger bow and it has seemed to have polished up nicely.
