Searching for a forum member?

Is there anyway to search for a member of this forum by a their real name?

For members -- no.

For admins and some moderators it may be possible ---- but we'd need a very good reason to run such a search. Why do you ask? Feel free to pm the mod or admin of your choice if it's a sensitive issue....

Uh, try this:

Click on Members @ top right of page.

Click "toggle more options"

Look where it says, Additional Options/Real Name and type it in and click Go.

I just found myself

Maybe it only works if they have listed their real name?

I tried DonT's method (hadn't seen that before) and was able to find myself by typing in my name exactly as it is listed in my profile. I couldn't get any "contains" searches or wildcard (putting an * after entering the partial name) to work.

It's not a sensitive issue. I know a shooter by his real name, and I know he is a member here, but I don't know his screen name. I wanted to send him a PM thanking him for a great match. That's what motivated this thread.
