skip62
I just got a Witness Match in 9mm. I've always been a 38 Super guy, but got a great deal on the gun in 9mm, so now I'm loading 9mm. I'm using a 550B, and use Dillon dies for Super. I just wondered if there was anything to all the hype on the Lee Deluxe dies, or should I just stick with Dillon? Thanks,
stockton
I use ONLY Lee. Buy them and don't look back!
wide45
For reloading minor loaded brass, fired in your gun, the Dillon dies will likely be fine. If you are going to buy once fired, or load range pick up brass, I suggest the U die from EGW.
DougCarden
I would, for about 12-13$.....try the Lee sizing die first for Super, and see if that takes care of any bulges. It will size down farther than the Dillon unit, and you may not need the EGW unit....Cheap way to try it first..... DougC
skip62
Thanks guys, looks like the Lee dies are a lot cheaper, so I'll give them a shot, if later I need the U-die, it's cheap.
skip62
Hey, I just realized the funnel die is different between the Lee and Dillon, will I still have to get a Dillon powder funnel die? Thanks
Joe4d
The powder die isnt really a die, you will need the Dillon powder die on a Dillon machine and powder measure. The powder die isnt caliber specific though. I use Dillon size and seats as they are easier to set up. I use a Lee Factory crimp die on the last station which has a carbide sizer in it. skip62
Gotch'ya, thanks. edit: I just got to lookin' around through some old stuff. I haven't been shooting for 10+years. I found another set of Super dies, any chance that the seat and crimp die will work with the 9mm? Then I can just get the U-die.
