BUENHEC
Hi all, I have several recepies for my Sigs, but none for a 1911. Dont know where to start. Anyone using Unique (which I have 10 lbs of) with 230 RN and 200 SWC in a original Spartan or similar 1911? I mostly shoot IDPA and Steel. BUENHEC
Try the alliant web site The web site says 6.4 for 230RN, Im at 6.5. Guess it should be ok but I would like to hear from someone who already time tested and with a chrono.

Ignatz
I just loaded some older Unique from the cardboard canister and was pleased with the results. I'm using LaserCast 230 gr RN bullets, Federal primers, 5.25grs.(abouts)Unique powder and a lenght of 1.260. Its giving me a power factor of 168 in my 45 auto(1911) and 165 in my 625 revolver. It was around 30 degrees that day , so I guessing when it warms up this summer those loads will speed up a little. I was pleased with the results.
