I am also glad you mentioned that 540=HS6 and 571 = HS7, I had heard that before, but could not remember which was which. Similar to 296 = H110 and HP38 = 231. ranger Posted December 25, 2007 Share Posted December 25, 2007 I use W540 and 175 LSWBB for my P16. It is a great powder for 40. When I finish off my last lb of 540 I guess I will switch to WSF. TonyT Posted December 30, 2007 Share Posted December 30, 2007 I shot up several pounds of W-540 and W-571 left over from shotshell reloading in 9mm and 40 S&W (minor). I used the data in the W-W 14th Edition reloading manual. Both powders metered very well in my Dillon 550 and provided very accurate handloads.
