Fireant
How can you tell if your slide has a 9mm or 38 super breech face?
Larry White
Most 9/38super slides are the same these days, the 38s will work with the .40 slides because of the rim.---------Larry
AlamoShooter
you could measure
HSMITH
Agree with Larry. Sometimes you will see as much variation between two Super or two 9mm slides as you will between a 9mm and a Super slide. If the gun runs I wouldn't worry about it. If it is a new slide and from Caspian or STI odds are very high that it is fine.
Brazos Custom
STI slides in 9mm run around 0.409 in 38 super around 0.417 measured at the bottom of the breechface. Usually within 0.002 to 0.003. The 9mm slides are also stamped with a 9 on the underside.
Fireant
Thanks, I figured I could measure it. I just needed to know what measurement I was looking for.
