Need Info On 38 Super Rimless Brass

I am thinking really hard about changing from 38 Super to 38 Super Comp (rimless) brass. I know the rimless brass will help to increase the capacity of my 140mm & 170mm STI magazines and I think the rimless brass will even strip better out of the single stack magazines I use in my steel gun. I have also heard that some shooters can even tell a difference in the way the pistol feels when cycling with rimless brass.

With all that said, which rimless 38 Super Brass do you use & why?

Also, is the Hornady TJ Brass worth the difference?

Philip,

I use 38 supercomp from Starline for 2 reasons.

first, they support our sport with prizes and sponsorship.

second, the brass is reasonably priced and available

( I guess that is really 3 huh? :D )

I've used TJ and Supercomp. Both run interchangably if the gun is set up for either. I like the design of TJ better-- there's more rim available for the extractor and the extractor groove is cut higher to eliminate the belt you normally get after many resizings, but Starline is much easier to find and cheaper to boot. Case volume does differ, so chrono any loads.
