MoBigAl
Anyone have any experience with this powder? It's supposed to be the equivalent of H335. I will be loading 55gr FMJ's on Lake City brass. Looking at a starting load of 23gr.
D.Hayden
I used to use that, very nice powder. but I couldn't get it reliably.. nice to hear you found some. Where'd you find it? 23gr is going to be pretty slow, you might start at 24. 2,727 fps is the floor for minor (PF 150). 25 ~ 2,900fps 26 ~ 3,100 - 3,200 - 18" and 20" barrels
MoBigAl
Found it at hi-techammo.com. It's new production powder and is actually designated as WC844F. The F stands for fast. Dan says it burns faster than the previous lots of WC844 and thus the starting load needs to be reduced by about 10%. He has a pretty good quantity of it and if you buy a case (4- 8lb bottles) he pays the haz-mat. I picked mine up along with a few other goodies I promised not to tell about... I've been loading 55gr FMJ and 55gr Vmax with 25.0gr and I've been getting great groups at 100-200yd with a RRA 20" It's a great target/prairie dog load.
