Plastic cobrabasepad keeps the magazine from being over inserted. I tried pulling a basepad off quck just buy using an arendo brush. NO go, but I did not mule it. the base pad fits the notch on the 1911 grip frame. Magazine matches 100% to the Tripp magazines for assy of the base pad.
