Basepads for STI Edge

I want to replace my magazine basepads with something slightly larger, but I want my gun to still fit the box.

But.......I also don't want to spend a fortune on basepads, so the polymer 'international' pads, as made by Arredondo and SPS look nice.

Has anyone experience with them and will they also fit the original magwell?

i use the SPS basepads and they are very good. You need to check them out once in a while to make sure there are no cracks where the pin holes are, where the basepad is relatively thin. They are also very easy to install/uninstole, which is a very big + if you need to clean the magazine in a middle of a match/practice.

When you are using original STI Steel or Aluminium magwell, than SPS basepads doesn't fit. I have 3 and they are useless.

Ok.........but will Dawson 'international' pads fit with the stock STI magwell?

I have used the SPS basepad but I think that its weak. If the basepad strike a little stone on the range during a mag change it can breaken.... so i prefere aluminium basepad.

Plus I agree with 2011_fan. If you're using a STI magwell and you wanna use SPS basepad you must make thin the basepad shouders with a dremel in contrary case it will not let hook the magazine.
