DrawandDuck
I have never removed a extractor from a tanfoglio can someone enlighten me on this? Thanks Randal
BritinUSA
Just use a punch to drift out the roll pin. The extractor is under tension from a small spring and pivots via the roll pin. Once you have drifted out the roll pin cover the slide with a towel beore removing the punch so the spring doesn't fly off and disappear.
Spaceghost
I think it only comes out the top of the slide, meaning you punch from underneath the slide and drive it out the top. When I put mine back in, I push the extractor in with my hand and slide a slave pin (actually my spare punch) to hold it in place then tap the pin back into place. It is a pain trying to hold it in by hand while driving the pin in.
DrawandDuck
Thanks Britin, kinda what I thought. Ghost, unfortunately I performed the task on Sunday and I punched mine from top down, it worked fine. When I got ready to re-assemble I used a small phillip head jewelers screwdrive and inserted down through the slide and extractor, then used the pin to push the screwdrive back out....found that to be pretty easy. Thanks for the help guys. Randal
