pidaster
I'm new to reloading so I have a question. I have done a few test loads with Clays powder and 230gr Hornady XTP bullets. I'm using Fed 150 primers with Federal brass. Here are my test loads. 3.5gr. - 2" group at 25yrds just in the bottom of the target. 3.7gr. - all over the place 4.0gr. 2" group but about 1.5 inches below target. What does this show? Should I use a lighter grain bullet? All reloads are 1.255 AOL, crimp .470.
Joe D
If you are using a center hold then you need a shorter front sight or crank up the rear if it is adjustable. A lighter bullet will group lower.
