alzo
Has anyone tried Ramshot ZIP to work up a load that makes USPSA Major with a 230gr bullet ? Any pluses or minuses with ZIP compared to the usual suspects (Clays, N310, N320, Titegroup etc) ?
Guy Neill
Working from memory (always a bad thing, so check everything!!), Zip is very similar to Winchester 231 and/or Hodgdon HP-38. As such, in a 45 Auto, it should perform very well. I used Winchester 231 for many years when I was shooting 45's. Guy
Harmon
According to ramshot, you can suppliment data with 231 starting loads.. in the 40, the stuff is great...but gets dirty in the 45. 4.2 grains ZIP and a 230 precision....its the only load i tried
