Main Spring Fit???

I've been using the Clark 4 finger spring for a few years. Decided to try one of the Infinity Competition 1911 Tri Glide sear springs in my Para Limited 40. and the spring won't work.

Thickness of the Clark and Infinity is .027, width of the Clark is .526, width of the Infinity is .549.

The outside to outside of the spring at the location that fits in the backstrap of the frame on the Clark is .090. the same on the Infinity is .155 with a much larger radius.

Should I send it back, or file the Infinity to suit???

That spring is made to fit Infinity's, not Para's. I know The Great One uses those springs in his Para, so I'd just file it to fit.

Brownells has them in 2 sizes.  Maybe you have the wrong one....
