9mm 115 Vs 124

I ran 115s in a "long" open gun for a while. Good, lots of gas, but snappy.

In a short open gun, I found 115s *too* snappy - the combination of the quicker recoil impulse and the lighter weight made it downright unpleasant.

I pretty much use Montana Gold 124JHPs or Zero 125JHPs for everything, these days...

YMMV, but I've also found that, invariably, 124's & 125's are more accurate, which I suspect has to do with more bearing surface and/or higher sectional density (147's are better yet, but too "spongy"/rolling recoil for my tastes).

In point of fact, I've not found anything 115's will do - in .38 Stupid or 9 SillyMetre - that 124's won't do better...other than the aforementioned gas/comp improvement...

'Course, I've never had an issue with concussion...or recoil...or lots of gas...
