Zero 121 Jhp Oal?

I changed the OAL on my 38 SC rounds from 1.24 to 1.21, and started having my mag follower jam at the bottom of the mag. STI 140mm tubes, grams follwer and springs (13 coil) and dawson plus 2 basepads (new style). I'm only loading 22 in the mag.

I changed OAL to 1.235, still having problem but not as often.

Can you load a JHP to 1.25 or more? What is common OAL for this bullet?

I have used the 121 for a few years = the mag problem is with the spring at the bottom of the mag. I got the Arridondo inserts that go into the Dawson +2 and keep the mag spring from going ( Full Pezz) I had to do some fitting to get them to fit in the + 2 base pad but I do not have the problem any more.

My OAL is 1.21- 1.23 with the 121 zero

I think it's more of a mag issue than the OAL as the 'ribs' that go down the sides of the mag stop before they get to the bottom. With the extra space, the bullet can get lodged in there side by side with the follower.

That's what the arredondo spacer is made for. I just load 21 in my 140's with +2's and never have an issue. If you need more than 21, use a big stick.

FWIW, you can load 38 supers to ~1.25. The only issue I see with that is that the bullet might be too long and get stuck in the mag front to back.

Please check your caliper again. I am loading 1.240 with the same bullet, using STI and SVI magazines with no problems.
