ben elli
Just got one and is wondering if a 4 shot extension will extend past the barrel. I've been told by some yes others no. I was looking at old HK catalogs and it seems that ther are 18.5 iner that have 7 shots. Thank you.
kellyn
does not matter. A mag tube can extend quite a ways out from the barrel without being struck by shot. Don't worry about it.
ErikW
It matters if you are under "tactical" shotgun rules which require the mag to extend no more than 1" beyond the barrel.

Bob H
Is there a 5 shot extension for the M1-S90?. I have a 21" tube and sure would like an extra round. If I make one would it break a stupid government hi cap law? Thanks in advance! Bob
Storm
Bob - Try http://www.speedshooter.com/ for the Benelli mag tube. They have 8, 9 & 10 round extension tubes. You'd want the 8 round tube (+5 extension).
9supercomp
storm - The 8 round tube will give me 5 rounds over factory, so this would be 8 rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber for a total of 8 + 1 right. I have a Benelli M1 with a 26" barrel so I would need the 9 round tube to give the max of 10 rounds for open class 3 gun.
Storm
9supercomp - The limit for open shotguns is 11 loaded rounds. With the Benelli, you have 2 choices. You can go with the 10 round tube and load 10 in the tube & 1 in the chamber. But, with a Benelli M1, you can put a round on the follower. So, you could go with a 9 round tube, 1 on the follower & 1 in the chamber.
Chriss Grube
That is not quite correct. It depends on the age of the Benelli. The new ones won't take the round on the follower. Benelli changed the design a couple years ago to prevent this.
Storm
Whoops! I forgot the newer Benellis don't allow you to put a round on the follower. I've got one of the older ones.
9supercomp
So with the 10 round tube what barrel would be flush with it.
