Paul Sharp
I've settled on Novak's for my Glock M22 but I still am not happy with the front sight. I can't seem to find a Novak serrated front sight that is under .125 wide. Are there other Glock front sights out there that are .100 and compatible with the Novak rear sight? (I'm looking for a serrated front sight.) One suggestion I've received was to use an Aro-Tek front sight since their Glock sights are very similiar to Novak's. Flexmoney
Paul, I have been looking around. No luck. Have you found a narrow front sight yet?
Paul Sharp
No luck yet, but still looking. One suggestion was to open up the rear sight a little but I think the front sight will still cover too much. Thanks for looking. Bill H
Talk to George Smith at EGW. He will make a sight to your specs. egw@pil.net 215-348-9892 Bill Hearne
icer
Paul--- I have to second Bill's advice.....George at EGW is doing the best sight work on Glocks bar none.....He thinned a Heinie front sight to .1 for me and melted a Bo-Mar adjustable rear into the slide.....everybody says it's the cleanest install and best sight picture they've ever seen on a Glock 35.....His turnaround was right on time and he even sent it out next day Saturday delivery so I could shoot a steel match on Sunday......a true gentleman and a damn good machinist! P.S. Go thinner on the front sight, .09 would be perfect in my opinion..... FWIW
Flexmoney
I have been in contact with George at EGW. He says he...well hell, brb (be right back) I'll just go cut and paste the email. ------- Goerge says: worked on one on saturday had to locktite it in a slide and than mill it down. not how I would want to do a bunch that is for sure. I will have to come up with a better mouse trap. the hole in the slide is .117 (3mm) so if we make the sight that size it will not fill the slot in the slide nor stay tight. have to figure out a taper set up, probably a ball endmill cut the length of a strip, than mill the bottom than cut the strip up and shape as needed check back in 2 weeks please, I will have a plan by then thank you for asking ------ I will keep in touch with him and see what he comes up with. I'll post what I find out. (Edited by Flexmoney at 12:36 pm on June 27, 2001)
