al503
I just bought a bucket full of brass and there are clearly some that are once-fired and some that are on their last legs (and everything in between, of course.) 1. I can clearly tell when a case has a split lip or if the based is bulged/starting to fold, but how do you tell if they have a loose primer pocket? I've got a 1050 so I can't tell by feel if a primer is going in too easily or not. 2. If the case does have a loose primer pocket, will that cause additional wear and tear on the gun (breach face erosion)?
wide45
What caliber? For .40's and .45's, just inspect for cracks and defects, load and go.

Sestock
Throw your loaded ammo into your tumbler and run it for 10-15 minutes. That will work out all of the loose primers. Edited February 5, 2006 by Sestock
AlamoShooter
look for BE's avaitar Is the photo in his avaitar of the primer pocket or what it does to the breach face?
