blackwolf
I know I can put grip tape on. What I'm wondering is if I can file down the "checkering" currently on the grip to provide a smooth surface for the grip tape to adhere to. Considering all the junk I read on Adam Tyc's gun for the world shoot I just want to confirm before I break the bastard (file that is) out. I won't be traveling out of country so this is strictly a USPSA question. It'd be great if I could file those down before I apply the grip tape. The advice of this forum is very welcome. diehli
Nope... no grip mods beyond putting the tape on. If you haven't already, check out http://www.ericwesselman.com/store/XD.html for the best grip solution out there, period.
Chuck Anderson
He also has a new glue that should help with any adhesion problems you have because of the checkering.
j2fast
I ran Eric's Trugrip all last year on my XD and they never moved. I wouldn't trade them for anything else on the market. IMO and as 300lbGorilla already said they are the best period. Just follow the included directions and you should not have any problems with them sticking properly. ampleworks
Both Eric's tape and the Decal-Grip both have some bigtime sticky qualities. You'll wear the sand texture off the Decal-Grip before it becomes unstuck and I've not worn out any of Eric's tape yet.
