gwalchmai
I have found a nice handmade bench that comes up about a foot above my beltline and I'm thinking of mounting my 550 on it. I don't have a strong mount so I would mount the press directly on the bench. Does this sound about right? Currently I use a barstool on a shorter bench but it seems that I hit about the same place. Anyway, it would be fairly easy to lower the bench. Thanks for any thoughts.
rtr
Depending on how tall you are that might be a bit high to see into the cases (especially at station 2) as you operate the press. Mine used to be about this height, on a strong mount. It's now on a bench that is just below my belt, on a strong mount, seems to work very well. old john
I have my 550b (from be) mounted direct to the bench and the bench top is 41" high. works great for me standing 6'0". Youv'e got to love any Dillon. My 550b is my fail safe press even over my 650 &1050. Old John
Merlin Orr
Same height as a kitchen counter. Without the strong mount - works well for me...
