Braxton1 Posted April 12 Share Posted April 12 (edited) Just to clarify: "Drops the Firing Pin Safety" means that it is falling out? Is the Extractor installed properly and working? The Extractor is what holds the FPS in the slide, so there almost HAS TO BE an issue with that. If it seems to be, I'd be contacting the Technical Service guys at the factory. Agreed that this is most likely either an extractor issue or someone has possibly installed a Gen 4 firing pin safety into the Gen 5 slide. rpm8300 Posted April 19 Share Posted April 19 Agree with what has been said - also, if someone was gerryrigging stuff, they probably removed the backplate and took out the extractor plunger, and consequently the extractor and firing pin safety. Make sure the plunger was put back in correctly, i.e. metal first. That won't fix this issue per se but is worth checking. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
