TangoRomeoKilo
I shoot a Mamba-X (4.5") in steel challenge (RFPO). I'm interested in different grip options as I found the stock grips not quite right for my liking. I replaced the stock grips with Tandemkross HIVE grips and found them better for me. Lately, I'm intrigued with Target Grips and would like to try these, however, the VQ grips for the 22/45 come only in laminated wood. Nice looking but pricey. I'd like a Volthane plain black grip with the target grip shape but can't seem to find anything. Those are available for the standard MK IV but not the 22/45. Has anyone seen these? Also, I'd like to hear your general thoughts on using a target-style grip for steel challenge. As I thought about I can't recall ever seeing anything other than variants of G-10 style grips. Overkill, or just plain stupid? Pros & cons? Edited November 14, 2023 by TangoRomeoKilo
Hoops
I personnally like the Hogue overmolded finger groove grip for 22/45. https://www.hogueinc.com/grips/ruger-grips/mkiv-2245 Edited November 14, 2023 by Hoops dulpicate word correction
Jmo2011
I put a set of volquartsen target grips on a mark3 and they were much better suited for bullseye than steel challenge.
