Rogue13
Having trouble with some, not all, reloaded ammo not passing gauge after loaded....all sized brass plunks in gauge perfect before loading...thought crimp was doing it so ran some without but no luck. Tried cycling in rifle and it sticks in chamber too. Using dillion 550c with all dillion dies. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. PhotoRecon
Was this brass fired in a different chamber?
Rogue13
No it's bulk brass bought online, I've never shot it...but it passes case gauge after sizing
PhotoRecon
Strange...assuming the sizing die is touching the shell plate, the brass length is 1.750" or less and the cartridge OAL is appropriate for the bullet your loading.
Don_B
Check to see if the case mouth is the problem. I've had that happen and chamfered the case mouth to fix it.
625
I would make up a dummy round and color it with a maker so you can see where it is hitting. I assume factor ammo runs fine. If it is a AR you can just slide it into the barrel with the gun disassembled.

Rogue13
625...I've been researching and using a marker is good idea that I will try in the morning...pretty sure it's hitting around the shoulder
m700
What is the case gauge showing? Is the headstamp below the higher surface and above the lower?
Nolan
If you're loading with a 3 die set that seats and crimps on the same die, the crimp is happening too early and seating after crimping is bulging the neck/shoulder. Nolan
