I was lucky enough to be Prez of my local club for a couple of years. It's a drain for sure.

Best thing I ever did was hand over the reins to forum member DavidBall. He is not only a dynamo, but more of a club prez than I could hope to ever be...

Our club is tons better and I'm sure yours will be with your efforts.

3quartertime, thanks for the bout of confidence. Some people think actually helping out in a positive way is wrong. These people are lazy and in it for themselves. I'm not. I personally want our club to be the best it can be. That doesn't mean it will be better or worse than the one down the street. Hell, you have to give your all. I want our club members to be completely informed on what's going on. I think that has been a problem in the past. The new BoD has even discussed having a "Member Appreciation Day" a couple times a year where we can all get together and BBQ at the range. No match, just getting to know one another. Hopefully that would be recieved well.
