mcmmotorsports
Doing some load development.135gr Blue Bullets, N320 at 3.2 and started with an OAL of 1.126.PF avg’d around 130. However, these are too long to reliably pass the plunk test. I shortened them up to 1.090 and now they plunk beautifully. I haven’t chrono’d them yet but does anyone foresee a case pressure problem? Dirty_J
Going from 1.126 to 1.09 at 130pf is extraordinarily unlikely present anything close to an overpressure situation. Interesting you have to go that short with a conical bullet profile. I load Brass Monkey 127’s at 1.12” for my Rival and it’s got no issues plunking
mcmmotorsports
Thanks. 125g TC Blue Bullets plunk fine at 1.126 too. Must be something about the 135’s.
Scotty_JR
I had to shorten up my latest batch of 135s to under 1.100 like you. I was getting some case failures because it was .300" deep in the case. I've seen a small increase in MV when shortening my OAL. I switched to 127 BMB for now. Always seem to go back to lighter bullets.

mcmmotorsports
For those following, chrono testing of the new 1.090 length yielded 132pf

mSNACKS
1.090 should be completely fine as far as pressure issues
