konkapot
Been reloading a long time, I've used pistol and rifle primers interchangeably since forever with no drama. Recently, I've had a very hard time getting rifle primers to seat properly/deeply with my 550. Pistol primers have been fine. Press is clean and well maintained. Brass is generally 1-3x fired. Happens with multiple guns. Any suggestions?
Dirty_J
Any particular headstamps? Or all across the board? Can’t say I’ve noticed any issues with those… but I’m loading on an 1100, so I don’t feel much on the primer side of things…
konkapot
Great question on the headstamps; it's often enough (1-2 per 100) that its probably a mix.
thermobollocks
Can you set aside some of the high primers to verify whether it's a single headstamp?
