Alvin, I have the Dragoncat too in .38 Super and can convert it to Super Comp just by adding another spring on the extractor (as per Johnny). Picked it up in June and still have not broken it in. It will not cycle completely even with the load that Johnny told me to use. Did you have this problem with the Dragoncat? What was your load with the .38 Super? I was told to use 124gr. MG bullets with 10gr. of 3N38, WSR primers at 1.235 OAL. It won't even eject the fired case. Thanks.

Very cool, will you have at Richmond this weekend? I'd love to take a closer look.

I assume a new barrel, but is it a new slide and comp or changes to the original pieces?

I have family coming in from out of town, so probably not unless I am able to sneak away.

When I got the gun back after it was first turned into a shorty it was a single shot for about 40 rounds. After that it worked fine. It's probably a good idea to break the gun in.

I used 115 MG JHP's over 7625. This generated a lot of pressure. The primers looked like they had been spread into the pockets with a butter knife. It's probably best to stay with the 124's.

In order to go from super to super comp you will have to change the whole extractor since the hook for the super and super comp are different. Changing the springs in the aftec alone won't do it.

I hope this helps.

Thanks man, hope I can try your shorty when we're in Richmond.

I probably won't be able to make it out for a couple of weeks, but you're welcome to try it anytime. If you're still have problems with your gun we can take a look at it too.

Limcat shorty in 9mm, just got it last week.

SWEEEEETTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well ... I got to go the range last night. The gun ran fine with the 9mm major loads that I already had. :) Now I just have to find some time to go out and chrono.
