North
Been loading 45acp for a while, and you can lload the same brass forever. You either loose it or it cracks and you toss it. With the high pressure of the .40 SW what is the norm for case life? Thanks
Flexmoney
I sure couldn't say. It is so cheap that I don't bother chasing too much of it.
MoNsTeR
Yeah I'm not really enthusiastic about picking it up either. All I can say is I've had my .40 for about a year and a half and I lose plenty of brass, but I haven't had to throw any away for being too worn out. R/T Performance
Same hear haven't seen a bad one yet but I found a guy on ebay sells nickle 1500 rounds for under 20 bucks shipped
boo radley
I sure couldn't say. It is so cheap that I don't bother chasing too much of it. It sounds stupid, but this is one of the big reasons I moved to Glocks from the 1911 as a budding shooter. I'm not a bit cheap, and I work hard and make a reasonable living, but it would just *kill* me leaving .45acp brass on the range, and I'd stay behind picking it up, if there was a break before the next squad appeared, instead of concentrating on the upcoming stage, etc. Plus, it's just a general PITA shagging brass. 9mm, 40S&W -- it's $20-30 for two *thousand* from eBay, or brassmanbrass, etc. I clean it, shoot it and forget about it. Nice.
al503
Like the others have mentioned, it is cheap so I don't mind leaving it on the range. However, I've been shagging a batch of brass for a while just to see how many times I could reload it. I got some once fired remington brass and I'm on the 11th loading. Not 1 split case or loose primer pocket yet and no signs that they'll start failing any time soon.
stryfox
Don't know for sure. I load my .40 for idpa 125pf and have had no problems loading 7-8 times, by then I loose it as I don't pick it up at matches only at practice.

Bigbadaboom
I have 3 X 5 Gal. buckets full of .40 brass and I still pick it up. I just can't stand to waist. I shoot it 'till it splits just like my 45.
