Wsf For 9mm Major

Anybody tried WSF with either 125 or 147 grain JHP bullets for 9 Major? If so what OAL did you use? As an alternative, what about Tightgroup?

John - WSF might work. You'd have a hard time finding a worse powder than Titegroup for 9x19 Major...it's WAY too fast.

Considering that WSF is below 7625 (a powder that works) for burn rate, you'd probably be able to make major wih it. However most people use a slower powder.

Titegroup would never make it IMO. You'd blow up the gun,

Thanks for the info. I'm considering 9 Major on either a G-17 or G-34. A lot of people use True Blue and I see a lot of negative comments about it so am looking for alternatives.

Again, thanks for the input, rule those two out.

try the ramshot silhouette...or true blue.

if those dont work to your liking, give HS6 a try.

3n37 may be the ticket as well.

wideners sells that hirtenberger 9mm+p+ for pretty cheap..might try that over the chrono its supposed to be major in full sized guns.
